Boat rental
Frequently Asked Questions
Below your question is not listed, let us know and we can answer it personally.
This will depend on how many people are in your group. Our staff will explain the advantages of each boat. Think about your budget and what you want to do during your day on the water and we will match you with the best available boat.
We can arrange a tandem rental. For example, one of our sport boats can accompany the primary charter boat and carry up to 6 additional passengers. The two boats stay together at all times, but when you arrive at your destination, you have the option to use both boats.
Summers are very busy, so book as far in advance as possible so you are more likely to get the dates and boats you want.
There are so many options. Our staff can help plan your day on the water. This also depends on the port where the boat is moored. All routes past Ibiza or Formentera are fantastic. Discuss your requirements with our staff and your skipper to determine the best places, ensuring that wind and sea conditions are favourable for your desired destinations.
A typical day charter has a duration of about 7 to 8 hours. Usually, most groups start around 11am and return to port around 6pm - 7pm. If you wish to stay longer at sea, please discuss this directly with the captain on site. All ships should be back in port by around 8pm, or at sunset, at the latest.
Medium-sized day boats with a captain are ideal for day trips along the coast of Ibiza and Formentera. They offer comfort, flexibility and a relaxed experience for a day on the water.
Larger luxury yachts offer the same day trips, but distinguish themselves by offering more space on board, a higher level of comfort and often additional services, such as a host(ess) alongside the captain. These yachts are usually offered through specialised providers within the premium yacht segment. gespecialiseerde aanbieders binnen het premium jachtsegment
Upon arrival at the port where the ship is docked, we will meet you and escort you to the vessel, where we will introduce you to the captain. We will then complete the paperwork and charter contract together and offer you a warm "Welcome aboard!" to start your journey.
Most ships have a radio or music system on board. Usually, guests want to listen to their own music, which can be played on the ship via a USB cable, and some boats also have Bluetooth functionality.
Booking the desired boat can easily be done via the website, e-mail, WhatsApp or phone. We will block the boat until the reservation deposit is received, at which point the boat will be permanently reserved.
Usually 50% of the rental price. This should be transferred via bank transfer to our account.
Of course children and babies are allowed on board! We regularly welcome families on our boats and yachts. However, we kindly ask you to let us know the number and age of the children the day before so that we can have the right life jackets on board.
Yes, every chartered ship has insurance that covers all guests on board.
The rental price depends on the boat and is listed on the website or PDF. Snorkelling equipment and a few drinks (such as cola, fanta, water and some beers) are always included. For boats longer than 40ft, the captain is always included.
Keep in mind that there are sometimes additional costs, namely 21% tax and fuel costs. Some boats include this and others do not. You can also read this on the website for the boat in question. You can always consult us if you are not sure.
The main booker of the party should bring id to the boat. The captain will sign the contract with you. If you have booked a boat without skipper, dont forget your license. Don't forget to bring the remaining payment. There is not always a pin machine available, so please bring the remaining payment in cash. Please also think about fuel costs if they are not included with your type of boat. Although some drinks are included in the rental price, we strongly encourage our guests to bring their own towels and some extra drinks if desired. Also, don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a mobile phone charger and a USB cable for music. Feel free to bring everything you need for the perfect charter day, such as a GoPro, air mattresses and snacks.
This depends entirely on the boat and is always stated in the relevant PDF/catalog. Each boat has a different charter license in which the number of people is precisely defined and must also be strictly adhered to.
Regardless of the size of the yacht, there is no charter licence allowing more than 12 guests - however, this is due to Spanish law. However, there are party boats that can take groups of 35 to 100 people. Ask us about the options!
A child or baby also counts as 1 person:)
Yes. Some water, cola, Fanta, beer and wine are always brought and chilled on ice. Still, it is recommended to bring your own.
But of course! Actually, all groups bring their favourite drinks, be it wine, champagne or juices.
Of course, we are at your disposal to arrange everything you need for your special day. Whether it is drinks, food, or other amenities such as activities on the water, service staff, decoration etc., let us know your wish list at least 4 days before your day and we will make sure everything is ready. No need to worry about payments, these will be settled on the day.
On a standard day charter, fuel is calculated based on engine running hours. This normally equates to about 1.5 - 2 hours of fuel consumption. But this mainly also depends on the departure point, destination and route. We will give you an estimate of the estimated fuel consumption, but at the end of the day the actual amount will be calculated based on the actual distance travelled.
Whether you want to tip or not is up to you. If you are satisfied with the service and your day at sea was enjoyable, it is customary to tip the captain and crew. The exact amount of the tip varies and depends on your personal preference. In general, most guests tip 5-10% of the charter price.
If you cancel the charter shortly beforehand, the deposit is non-refundable. The boats are reserved and kept reserved especially for you. In case of early changes, we will do our best to reschedule the charter.
In case of unfavourable weather, it is important to know what we mean by "bad weather": for example, heavy rain, waves higher than 1.5m and thunderstorms. Keep in mind that a cloudy day does not necessarily mean bad weather.
If there is really bad weather, as described above, the charter will be postponed. If this is not possible, the deposit will of course be refunded. We closely monitor the weather forecast and will contact you in good time to discuss the situation.
